Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven professional to join our LPG Trading team as a Junior LPG Trader & Operations Executive.
This role combines commercial trading exposure with hands-on operational responsibility across the physical LPG value chain. The successful candidate will support the sourcing, trading, and international movement of LPG cargoes (Propane and Butane), while progressively developing independent commercial capabilities.
The position offers direct exposure to global LPG markets, freight economics, arbitrage analysis, trade execution, and vessel operations. A strong emphasis will be placed on the development of international sourcing portfolio.
The selected candidate will work closely with senior traders and operational stakeholders to ensure efficient execution of physical transactions while contributing to the growth and optimisation of the company’s LPG trading portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
Market Development
- Monitor international LPG markets, pricing trends, freight dynamics, and global vessel movements.
- Conduct supply/demand analysis and identify arbitrage opportunities across regional markets.
- Prepare market intelligence reports, commercial analyses, and trading recommendations.
- Support the development of new sourcing channels and relationships with third-party suppliers.
- Assist in identifying emerging markets and new commercial opportunities.

Trading & Trades Execution
- Support the execution of spot and term LPG transactions under the supervision of the LPG trading General Manager.
- Participate in commercial negotiations with suppliers, traders, and end-users.
- Prepare and review trade documentation including deal recaps, contracts, and commercial confirmations.
- Coordinate internally with shipping, finance, legal, and risk management teams to ensure smooth trade execution.
Operations & Logistics
- Coordinate vessel nominations and voyage instructions with shipbrokers and shipping counterparties.
- Liaise with terminals, inspectors, agents, and surveyors during loading and discharge operations.
- Manage operational and trade documentation, including Letters of Credit, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Quality, and cargo documentation.
- Monitor cargo movements and proactively resolve operational issues or disruptions.
- Support the handling of claims, quantity/quality disputes, and demurrage matters in coordination with the Shipping Department.
Risk Management
- Execute basic hedging orders to manage price exposure.
- Monitor daily Profit & Loss (P&L) and physical position exposure.
- Ensure all counterparties meet internal compliance and KYC requirements.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure full compliance with international regulations and trade sanctions.
- Maintain clear audit trails for traded cargoes movements.
- Guarantee transparency and proper internal reporting of operational costs.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Energy Trading, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in LPG trading, trade operations, shipping, or physical commodity markets.
- Good understanding of LPG trading flows, supply chain logistics, and international shipping operations.
- Existing counterparty or sourcing network in the LPG space is a distinct advantage.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of international LPG markets and trading fundamentals.
- Familiarity with industry pricing benchmarks and reporting agencies such as Argus Media and S&P Global Commodity Insights.
- Understanding of charter party terminology and shipping concepts including laytime and demurrage.
- Exposure to ETRM systems and trade finance instruments (LCs, SBLCs) is desirable.
- Strong analytical and numerical capabilities with proficiency in Excel and market analysis tools.

Salary
The salary will be discussed in line with experience and current market conditions. We also offer an annual performance-based bonus.
