About The Opportunity

Our client is a London-based luxury beauty brand known for redefining modern makeup through high-performance formulations and personalised beauty experiences.

They are seeking a Junior Makeup Artist & Beauty Consultant to join their London retail team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a UK retail or customer-facing environment and a genuine passion for makeup and beauty, but who may still be early in their professional beauty career.

You do not need to be an established professional makeup artist to be considered. Formal makeup or beauty training is desirable but not essential. What is important is a genuine interest in makeup, confidence working with customers, an eye for colour and beauty, and the ability and willingness to learn.

The role combines makeup application, beauty consultation, retail sales and store support within a premium client environment.

Application Process & Qualifying Questions

Job Description

Please read the job description carefully and ensure you meet the requirements. You must answer all of the following questions within your covering letter when submitting your application:

  • Do you currently have the right to work in the UK without restrictions? Our client does not offer visa sponsorship.
  • Are you able to work a full-time retail schedule, including weekends, events and flexible shifts as required?
  • What experience do you have with makeup application or beauty products, and do you have a makeup portfolio, social media page or examples of your work that you can share? Please provide a link where available. If you do not have a formal portfolio or online examples, please state this rather than leaving the question unanswered.
  • What are your salary expectations? You must provide a specific annual figure or range. Responses such as market rate, negotiable or open to discussion will result in automatic disqualification.
  • What is your current availability/notice period?

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
