Junior Management Accountant | Liverpool Street | Hybrid
I’m currently working with a growing specialist consultancy based in Liverpool Street to appoint a Junior Management Accountant into their finance team.
The business operates within a highly specialised sector of the offshore energy industry and has built a strong reputation within its market. With a relatively lean finance function, this is a great opportunity for someone who wants genuine exposure, responsibility and the chance to work closely with senior members of the business.
The Opportunity:
Working alongside the Finance Manager and Finance Director, you’ll gain broad exposure across management accounting, financial reporting and commercial finance, with a clear pathway towards becoming a Management Accountant.

Key responsibilities:
- Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs
- Preparing and posting journals, accruals, prepayments and payroll adjustments
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
- Supporting month-end and year-end close, alongside budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
- Carrying out variance analysis and financial analysis against budget and forecast
- Supporting credit control, VAT and statutory reporting where required
- Working closely with operational stakeholders and supporting finance process improvements

What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or Assistant Accountant
- Exposure to month-end, reconciliations or management accounting
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation
- A proactive, positive and ambitious approach
- Currently studying, or interested in studying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
