Junior Management Accountant & Client Manager
We are a growing, tech-forward accountancy and business services firm looking for an ambitious, highly articulate Junior Management Accountant & Client Manager.
This is a fast-track hybrid role combining client account management with commercial finance operations. You will work directly alongside our Practice Manager for your first 3–4 months, mastering our internal systems, workflows, and client relationships before stepping up to take full ownership of key client portfolios.
Responsibilities
- Management Accounts & Reporting: Prepare, review, and present monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and cash flow forecasts for SME and e-commerce clients.
- Xero & Tech Integration: Oversee end-to-end Xero setups, bank/merchant integrations, and troubleshoot messy transactional data.
- Commercial Finance Ops: Reconcile multi-entity structures, inter-company loan accounts, interest calculations, and payment gateway feeds (Shopify, Stripe).
- Client Relationship Hub: Act as the confident, primary point of contact for business owners, explaining financial reports in clear, commercial English.
- Workflow Coordination: Delegate routine data entry and compliance preparation to our dedicated back-office production team, reviewing all working papers for accuracy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
