As we continue to expand our renewable energy activities globally, with a particular focus on Central and Eastern Europe, we are looking for a Junior Manager – Commercial Analysis to join our RES Investments team in London.
Responsibilities
The role will support the assessment, analysis, and execution of investment opportunities across utility-scale Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and hybrid renewable assets, providing robust commercial analysis to support investment decisions and portfolio growth.
This is an investment-led position, focused on understanding the financial and commercial attractiveness of renewable energy assets, identifying key value drivers and risks, and supporting informed investment decisions.

Your role will encompass:
- Evaluating Solar PV, BESS, and hybrid investment opportunities across development, acquisition, and financing stages.
- Building, maintaining, and reviewing financial models to assess project returns, cash flows, valuations, and investment cases.
- Analyzing project economics, including revenues, costs, CAPEX, OPEX, financing assumptions, and key investment risks.
- Assessing BESS revenue opportunities, market dynamics, regulatory developments, and changing revenue assumptions.
- Conducting commercial and financial due diligence on potential acquisitions and development opportunities.
- Monitoring market and regulatory developments and assessing their impact on project valuations and investment strategy.
- Supporting acquisition, disposal, and financing processes, working closely with legal, technical, commercial, and financial advisers.
- Comparing investment opportunities and supporting the prioritization of projects across the wider Solar, BESS, and hybrid portfolio.
- Working closely with development, engineering, finance, legal, and commercial teams to ensure investment decisions are supported by robust analysis.
Requirements
- Experience in investment analysis, financial analysis, corporate finance, M&A, project finance, or a closely related discipline.
- A strong interest in renewable energy investments, particularly Solar PV, BESS, and hybrid assets.
- Strong understanding of financial modelling, valuations, and investment assumptions.
- Ability to interpret commercial and market information and translate analysis into a clear investment view.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate findings clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Renewable energy experience is highly desirable, with direct Solar PV or BESS investment experience considered particularly valuable.
