Junior Marketing Assistant

We're looking for a creative, organised and enthusiastic Junior Marketing Assistant to join our team. Working directly with our eCommerce & Marketing Manager, you'll gain hands-on experience across digital marketing, e-commerce, content creation and customer service, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and build a career in marketing.

Key responsibilities:

  • Write engaging product descriptions and assist with blog content.
  • Upload products and content to our Shopify website.
  • Create photo and video content for our website and social media.
  • Take ownership of one of our social media channels.
  • Respond to customer enquiries with friendly, knowledgeable service.
  • Support the wider team with order fulfilment and day-to-day operations when required.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has a passion for sewing, fabrics and creativity.
  • Is a confident writer with excellent attention to detail.
  • Communicates well and enjoys helping customers.
  • Is happy to appear in photos and videos.
  • Is proactive, adaptable and eager to learn.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively and taking initiative.
  • Can confidently switch between creative and administrative tasks.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
  • Photography, video editing or content creation experience.
  • Social media management experience.
  • Experience using Shopify or another e-commerce platform.
  • A basic understanding of SEO.

Salary & Hours

  • Salary: £12.71 per hour (ages 21+) or National Minimum Wage where applicable.
  • Salary may be negotiable depending on relevant skills and experience.
  • This is a part-time position, with flexibility around working days and hours for the right candidate.
  • This is an on-site role based at our Truro store and cannot be carried out remotely.
