About Us
Founded in 2016 by Raj Saxena (former Marketing Director at Red Bull) and Bil Bungay (Founder of BMB and a founding investor in Purplebricks), Velocity Capital is a specialist SEIS and EIS venture capital fund. We partner with ambitious founders across the digital and technology sectors, investing from Pre-Seed to Series A.
Our focus spans FinTech, AI, Health, the Future of Work and Consumer markets, areas where we’ve built strong networks and a solid track record. We look to back companies where we can genuinely add value, particularly those with a clear marketing need. Our portfolio includes Fussy, Swoop, Bolt Insight, Ryft, Mintago, Sprive and Lucida AI.
What is the Role?
Velocity is hiring a Junior Marketing & Creative Designer to bring the Velocity Capital brand to life across every channel we use. This is a broad, hands-on creative role covering social media creative, investor and pitch decks, website assets, video content, brand development and wider marketing collateral, for both Velocity and our 45+ active portfolio companies.
You will work closely with our Business Development, Investor Relations and Investment teams, turning ideas, updates and data into clear, engaging and on-brand creative. As our first dedicated marketing hire, you will have the opportunity to help build the marketing function from the ground up. It is a great opportunity for an early-career designer who wants variety, ownership and real exposure to the venture capital and financial services world as part of a specialist SEIS and EIS venture capital fund.
Core Responsibilities:
Social media and digital
- Design engaging social media creative for Velocity’s platforms, including LinkedIn and X, such as static posts, carousels, short-form video and event graphics
- Create assets for email campaigns, investor updates and newsletters sent to investors (HNWI and family offices) and intermediaries (financial advisers and wealth managers)
- Track how creative performs and use what you learn to improve engagement and grow our follower base

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
