This is an exciting opportunity to begin your engineering career in Formula One, working within our Aerodynamics department and contributing to the development of technologies that help deliver performance on track.
As a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer - Aerodynamics, you'll support the design and development of components and systems used within our Wind Tunnel and Wind Tunnel Model environments, working alongside experienced engineers, aerodynamicists, and manufacturing specialists.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the design and development of mechanical assemblies and components used in aerodynamic testing environments.
- Producing 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings, ideally using Siemens NX.
- Working closely with Aerodynamicists, Model Shop, and Manufacturing teams to deliver practical engineering solutions.
- Assisting with component development from concept through to manufacture and testing.
- Supporting engineering calculations, analysis activities, and design validation work.
- Contributing to continuous improvement activities within the department.

What We're Looking For
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and mechanical design principles.
- Experience using CAD software through university projects, placements, Formula Student, or industry experience.
- An interest in manufacturing processes and materials.
- Familiarity with FEA, GD&T, and engineering analysis techniques would be advantageous.
- A proactive, organised, and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- A genuine passion for motorsport and high-performance engineering.
