About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Assistant Merchandiser or Senior Assistant Merchandiser to join our Accessories team in a newly created role. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of your own product area while building broader experience across planning, trading, stock management and category performance.

Working closely with Merchandisers, Buyers and key stakeholders across the business, you'll play an important role in driving sales and profitability by ensuring the right stock is available at the right time. You'll be involved in forecasting, analysing performance, managing inventory, preparing recommendations for sign-off, and supporting key trading decisions.

This role offers fantastic exposure to the commercial side of merchandising, with opportunities to deputise for Merchandisers and influence category performance. We're particularly interested in candidates from fashion or homewares backgrounds, although we're open to hearing from talented merchandise professionals from other sectors who are looking for their next challenge.

Key Responsibilities – What you’ll be doing

  • Support the Merchandiser with the management of the WSSI, assisting with sales, stock, intake, and margin reporting to ensure plans remain on track.
  • Analyse weekly trading performance, identifying risks and opportunities and providing recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Work closely with Buyers and Merchandisers to support range planning, with option frameworks and volume forecasts and ensure stock levels are aligned to business needs.
  • Prepare reports and analysis to support range reviews, forecasting, and trading meetings.
  • Monitor critical path timelines and raise any risks that could impact product launches or stock availability.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of promotions and new range launches, ensuring stock is available to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Support the management of category sales and stock performance through regular analysis and reporting.
  • Help optimise stock levels to improve availability, reduce markdown exposure, and maximise profitability.
  • Assist with markdown and exit strategies to manage terminal stock effectively.
  • Build strong working relationships with Buying, Supply Chain, Ecommerce, and other key stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate planning systems, reports, and data to support effective decision-making.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
