Role Purpose
To plan and deliver product ranges and agreed stock parameters in order to successfully achieve sales, profit, margin and stock targets in an Omni-channel operation through the Merchandising of a department or product category.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage margin performance, calculating the departmental position throughout the Season and managing markdowns in line with agreed targets.
- Develop production forecasts for the supply base to ensure they can support the department stock requirements in line with trading requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring critical path is adhered to by stakeholders.
- Prepare for and attend key weekly and monthly meetings, identify opportunities to maximize sales, minimize risk and proposing any relevant actions.
- Manage, motivate and coach the Merchandise Administration Assistant.
- Responsible for order authorization in line with agreed parameters.
- Conduct regular store visits to develop a commercial awareness of M&P’s product ranges, stores and competitors.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Have a good understanding of the company performance as well as own department.
- Has strong excel skills and proven merchandising track record with a min of 2 years in industry experience.
- Confident in using and reading a WSSI.
- Experience of working with Far East suppliers preferable.
