What you’ll do as the Beauty Junior Merchandiser.
Your key accountabilities will include
- Support the Merchandiser and Buyer in defining and delivering the departmental strategy targets, producing robust pre-season and in-season sales and stock forecasts by channel to optimise trading performance, maximise sales opportunities, and ensure effective stock management
- Accountable for developing and delivering the strategy for your Brands, collaborating with the Buying, Design and Technical team to formulate a detailed plan on the shape of the range and the products to be offered across all channels, with a global sales and profit focused mindset
- Supporting the Beauty re-sourcing activity with an effective stock and markdown strategy, optimising profit and minimising customer impact
- Analysis of sales identifying winners and losers and taking appropriate actions working in collaboration with stakeholders to react to trade and maximise sales opportunity
- Accountable for creating accurate long term and short-term departmental forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities and developing effective strategies to optimise sales and profit
- Take the lead in developing Department or range plan reviews, OTB reviews and lessons learned
- Working with Sourcing Offices, Suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage critical path from buy to delivery for your Brands
- Maintaining awareness of competition’s product offer
- Motivate, develop and train assistant merchandisers and merchandise admins while supporting the wider Beauty team with best in class ways of working

Who you are
Your skills and experience will include
- Working to Junior Merchandiser level, or Advanced Assistant Merchandiser ready for the next step, in a fast-paced retailer.
- Strong knowledge of the end to end buy to store process
- Experience controlling unplanned in-season risks and costs
- Able to fully utilise the relevant IT support systems
- Strong numerical, analytical and interpretive skills
- Ability to initiate and build strong relationships with Suppliers, Design, Buying and Technology
- Strong interpersonal/ communication and negotiation skills
- A growth mindset and a passion for innovating, adopting and driving change
