Job Title: Junior Merchandiser
A fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Junior Merchandiser to join one of the fastest-growing high street retailers out of the Middle East, a multi-brand own buy and privately owned with a strong trading reputation for over 30 years. The Merchandiser should have a minimum of 4 years’ experience within Merchandising and with allocation experience, people management skills, and a good trading mindset as the organization has had continual and exceptional like-for-like sale growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of WSSI forecasting/reforecasting using Excel
- Analysing trade performance and identifying current/future trading opportunities
- Managing pre-season and in-season OTB
- Managing markdown requirement with the Buying teams
- Collaborating with the Buying teams at range planning meetings
- Setting up seasonal Planners/Catalogues for the Buying teams
- Developing seasonal option plans for various sections
- Driving sales and profit through efficient use of stock
- Guiding, mentoring, and training our Allocation Team
- Building and analyzing reports making effective decisions based on these
- Building Allocation & Replenishment Strategies & following these through to execution & evaluation
- Monitor sales and stock (markdowns, trading risks, and changing season codes twice yearly)
- Analysis and administration, maintaining accurate paperwork and making sure there are no data inaccuracies
- To be completely aware of the development of the range and option plans (responsibility with the buying team and checking, updating, and maintaining of store and style grading ensuring all opportunities are maximized)
- Making sure that the merchandise controller is well briefed on all issues under your remit and that to adhere to company policy under the direction of the merchandiser
- To consistently deliver against company expectations and policy and to make sure suppliers manage the same in the areas under your responsibility

Key Requirements:
- Competent WSSI knowledge
- Minimum 4 years’ experience within merchandising
- Allocating and MAA experience required
- Excellent Excel knowledge
- Strong understanding of the critical path process of product development
- Clear communication at all levels
- Good people management skills
- Good analytical and numerical skills
