About the team:
The Models and Ratings team provide the Bank with analytical insight through the use of predictive models that support financial decision making across the business, from pricing through to risk. Please note this position is based in our London office
What you will be doing:
As a Junior Model Development Analyst, you will support the production of analytics and customer behaviour prediction models and deliver actionable insights into the Savings and Mortgage Product teams. Working within a growing area for the team, you will have contribute to driving change and making a meaningful impact.
Your responsibilities will include…
- Contributing to the design, development, documentation, and maintenance of customer behaviour prediction models under the direction of the Model Manager.
- Supporting model development, monitoring, validation, and recalibration to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Supporting the implementation of models across the organisation by assisting in the production of clear documentation and deployment of the models into business processes.
- Conducting analysis that informs the product lifecycle, including pricing elasticity, churn/retention, and customer acquisition.
- Supporting with the delivery of timely, accurate reporting and insights to support committees and other senior stakeholders.
- Producing timely, accurate analysis and reporting to support Mortgage, Savings, and wider business teams.

We offer a base salary depending on experience of £30,000-£37,500 and a competitive benefits package including:
- Annual discretionary bonus opportunity: up to 15% of salary.
- 30 days annual leave
- Choose to contribute 3% or 5% pension, with employer contributions of 6% or 8% respectively

- Hybrid-working *3 days in the office, 2 at home

Do you have the skills?
We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below:
- Mathematical and quantitative analysis skills are essential
- Knowledge of statistical concepts (e.g. regression) is essential
- Use of data modelling and data analysis software, e.g. SAS, Python or similar are desirable
- Previous experience in producing reporting/analytical output and presenting material effectively is desirable
- Previous experience of working within a financial services environment would be advantageous.
