About our role:

As the Junior National Account Manager, PurePlay, you will have ownership of a portfolio of leading online retailers and be directly responsible for delivering against sales, profit and market share objectives. In this dynamic role, you will work with customers including LookFantastic, Ocado, ASOS, and other key PurePlay accounts.

You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to build strong customer relationships, identify growth opportunities, and develop insight led business plans that deliver sustainable, profitable growth. The role sits at the heart of KAO's E Commerce strategy and will provide exposure to key areas including retail media, digital shelf optimisation, search performance, customer development and commercial negotiation.

What you will do:

Account Management

  • Manage a portfolio of PurePlay customers and act as the primary point of contact between KAO and the customer.
  • Build strong and sustainable relationships with key customer stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute Joint Business Plans that deliver mutually beneficial growth.
  • Identify and unlock growth opportunities through brand distribution expansion, retail media activation, digital shelf excellence, search optimisation and online conversion.

Commercial Ownership

  • Support delivery of Net Sales, Profit and Market Share objectives across your account portfolio.
  • Manage customer forecasts and provide accurate sales projections.
  • Support pricing, promotional planning and commercial negotiations.
  • Monitor customer performance and proactively identify risks and opportunities.

Retail Media & Digital Shelf

  • Define and execute retail media plans by customer, working with partners such as Criteo.
  • Optimise search visibility, share of voice and digital shelf performance across key platforms.
  • Analyse media performance and ensure investment is delivering against agreed KPIs and ROAS targets.
  • Support the implementation of SEO, PDP optimisation and digital content strategies.

Planning & Administration

  • Own the monthly commercial planning process, including forecasting, promotional submissions, pricing administration and invoice management.
  • Complete customer administration accurately and on time, including new line forms, promotional forms and retailer portals.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and performance tracking.

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Category, Shopper Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance teams to deliver customer plans.
  • Ensure effective communication of customer priorities and opportunities across the business.
  • Participate in cross functional projects and initiatives that contribute to the success of the wider Consumer Care business.

Performance Reporting

  • Analyse sales, EPOS, market and digital performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Produce timely and insightful updates for stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Track progress against key customer objectives and recommend corrective actions where required.

What you will need:

  • BSc/BA Hons degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within Sales, Account Management, Retail eCommerce or related commercial role.
  • Sound commercial acumen and analytical capability. Experience of working with P&Ls to structure business proposals and decisions, underpinned by accurate commercial modelling.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and high personal credibility is required to build collaborative working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex messages and situations to peers and senior stakeholders within the business.
  • Proven Leadership, the ability to proactively drive a growth agenda through the business and execute with excellence.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience working with PurePlay or eCommerce customers would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of retail media, search optimisation and digital shelf management would be advantageous.
  • Interest in beauty, digital marketing and online retail.
  • Experience within FMCG, beauty or consumer goods.
  • Intermediate Excel Skills.
