Junior National Account Manager – Reputable Foodservice Business - Hybrid with National Travel - £48K + Benefits

My client is a well-established Foodservice business who have a fantastic reputation for their top-quality products and level of service which they provide to a number of different sectors.

They are seeking a Junior National Account Manager to join their team. The business has a growing presence within the care sector, supplying a broad range of solutions to care homes, nursing homes and multi-site care operators. With the care market continuing to present significant opportunities for growth, the successful Junior National Account Manager will be responsible for the development of key national and multi-site care accounts, helping to identify opportunities to increase sales, improve customer engagement and strengthen long-term partnerships.

This is the perfect opportunity for a talented and highly driven Business Development Manager, Account Manager or National Account Executive to join an exciting business who can match their ambition and offer genuine career progression opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the management and growth of key national and regional care accounts.
  • Developing strong relationships with buyers, procurement teams and operational stakeholders.
  • Identifying opportunities to increase product penetration, spend and share of customer.
  • Supporting customer business reviews, presentations and account plans.
  • Assisting with tenders, pricing exercises and commercial negotiations.
  • Monitoring sales performance, margins and account profitability.
  • Working closely with purchasing, category, marketing, operations and supply chain teams.
  • Supporting new business development across the care sector.
  • Understanding customer requirements and translating these into commercially compelling solutions.
  • Keeping up to date with foodservice, care sector and market trends.
  • Producing accurate sales forecasts, reports and pipeline updates.

The Ideal Junior National Account Manager Candidate

  • Some experience within foodservice, FMCG, wholesale or B2B sales.
  • Strong commercial awareness and numerical ability.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence dealing with customers and internal stakeholders at different levels.
  • A proactive, organised and analytical approach.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
  • A hunger to learn, develop and take ownership of your accounts.
  • Full UK driving licence
