Are you a Field Sales Executive, NAE or Junior NAM working in OOH/FMCG and ready for your next step?

I’m working exclusively on a Junior National Account Manager opportunity with an exciting, British FMCG business operating across the food & drink space. This is a particularly interesting opportunity for someone who enjoys being out in the market, developing customers and winning new business, rather than simply managing an existing account base.

The opportunity:

The business is an established, entrepreneurial FMCG manufacturer with many years of heritage, a strong portfolio of differentiated brands, and a clear growth agenda. They are currently growing at 25%+, with a number of exciting brands across drinks, functional wellness and nutrition.

They’re now looking for someone to take ownership of their wholesale and specialist retail channel, currently worth around £1.3m, with a clear objective to grow. But this isn't simply an account management role. The real opportunity is to identify where the next phase of growth comes from while opening up new customers and routes to market.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing and developing a portfolio of existing wholesale and specialist retail customers
  • Identifying and winning new business opportunities
  • Building relationships with buyers and decision-makers
  • Finding new routes to market for an exciting functional drinks portfolio
  • Identifying opportunities to expand distribution within existing customers
  • Developing new relationships across specialist retail, health & wellness, independent retail and wholesale
  • Spending approximately 3 days a week out in the market
  • Visiting customers, prospects, wholesalers, farm shops and specialist retailers
  • Using commercial insight to identify gaps and opportunities
  • Negotiating and driving incremental sales
  • Taking genuine ownership of your territory, customers and growth plan

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The brands:

You'll be working with a portfolio that includes established, recognisable brands alongside newer functional products, with particular growth potential across health, wellness and nutrition.

The business has already demonstrated its ability to take niche propositions and build them into significant commercial opportunities.

The next stage is about doing that again, particularly within the functional and wellness space.

Who are they looking for?

This could suit someone currently working as a:

  • Field Sales Executive
  • Sales Executive
  • Junior NAM
  • NAM
  • Account Manager
  • Business Development Executive / Manager

You'll ideally have experience within FMCG food & drink, although direct drinks experience isn't essential.

More important is that you have:

  • Experience working with wholesale, independent or specialist retail customers
  • Strong commercial and customer-facing skills
  • A genuine appetite for new business and business development
  • The confidence to pick up the phone, open new conversations and win new accounts
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial approach
  • The ability to spot opportunities and turn them into sales
  • A willingness to be out in the market rather than office-based
  • The ambition to step into a role with greater ownership and responsibility

You don't need to have managed a huge P&L or already be an experienced NAM. This is much more about your commercial instinct, energy, customer skills and ability to grow a channel.

Why this role?

You'll be joining a business that offers the best of both worlds:

  • Established enough to have strong brands, infrastructure, manufacturing capability and an existing customer base, but entrepreneurial enough that your ideas and commercial wins will genuinely be noticed.
  • You'll have significant autonomy over your week, working closely with the senior commercial team and having a real opportunity to shape how the channel develops.

If you're someone who thinks:

  • "What else could we be selling to this customer?"
  • or
  • "Who else should be selling this product?"

Then this could be a really strong fit.

Package:

  • Up to £50,000 total package, depending on experience and including car allowance
  • 5% annual bonus
  • Mileage and business expenses covered
  • Home-based role
  • Extensive field-based customer travel across the South/London and surrounding areas
  • Approx. 3 days per week out meeting customers
