The programme
The programme provides a strong foundation for individuals supporting organizations across industries. It equips learners with the organisational, project management, and professional skills required to thrive in administrative and support roles, while building the confidence to contribute to business improvement and growth.
What you'll do at work
- Answering incoming telephone calls and directing enquiries to the correct department.
- Monitoring shared email inboxes and responding to general enquiries.
- Supporting the Customer Service team with customer updates and administrative tasks.
- Assisting the Transport Planning team with entering and updating job information.
- Keeping internal systems and spreadsheets accurate and up to date.
- Communicating with drivers, customers and other departments when required.
- Supporting with filing, scanning, document preparation and general office administration.
- Assisting with HR administration, including employee records, training information and holiday documentation.
- Helping to prepare reports and collect information for the management team.
- Learning how different departments work together to support the daily transport operation.
- Completing apprenticeship coursework and attending any required training sessions.
- Carrying out other reasonable administrative duties as required.
Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

What you'll learn
Course contents
Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals. Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work. Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures. Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Office Junior Apprentice to join our busy transport office.
This is a varied role that will provide experience across several areas of the business, including Customer Service, Transport Planning Administration and HR Administration. The successful candidate will gain a full understanding of how the office operates while working towards a Business Administrator Level 3 qualification.
The position is ideal for someone looking to begin a long-term career within an office, customer service, administration or transport environment.
We are happy for the successful candidate to start working with us before the apprenticeship course officially begins.
