Junior Operations Project Manager

We're keen to welcome a Junior Operations Project Manager to join us in the Operations Support Team at VetPartners. As a fast-growing veterinary group, we're looking for an organised, proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our Operations Support team and begin developing a career in project management.

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting the delivery of operational projects, business integrations and initiatives across the UK and Ireland. Working closely with and learning from experienced Project Managers.

A little bit about us

Led by vets, VetPartners forms a significant share of the UK veterinary market, across small animal, equine and farm practices and veterinary businesses. Our mission is to deliver outstanding care for our patients and clients, and be the veterinary group of choice. VetPartners encourages an independent spirit while supporting investment in people, facilities and the latest technology to enable excellent service delivery.

What you will be doing

  • Building clear project plans, trackers and documentation, keeping actions, risks and issues on track throughout each project.
  • Working with practices, business teams and stakeholders, gathering information and requirements to set projects up for success.
  • Coordinating actions across areas such as banking, suppliers, contracts, insurance, utilities and other operational changes.
  • Supporting practices, businesses, and the project management team throughout the project lifecycle, responding to queries and helping resolve challenges.
  • Supporting a broad range of operational projects, including practice mergers, site relocations, new site launches, and wider business change activities.
  • Identifying risks and challenges early, taking practical action, and escalating issues when needed.
  • Capturing balanced and rounded 'lessons learned' post project completion, to help continually improve project processes, tools and ways of working.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
