Signify is an ethical data science company which has developed a world-leading online protection service for sport – Threat Matrix. We work with global organisations in sport to protect athletes and other participants from online abuse and threat, including providing consultancy and AI-led expertise on prevention, detection, and deterrence.
Join Signify’s Threat Matrix team dedicated to protecting sport from online abuse and threat. If you're passionate about Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) investigations and analysis and want to work in a unique environment mixing tech, business, and sports, then this will be a highly rewarding position for you.
As a Junior OSINT Investigator, you will be part of a team working across projects for leading international sports organisations and major events. Your work will directly contribute to protecting athletes and other participants from online abuse and threat. This is a great opportunity for someone earlier in their career to strengthen their OSINT skills within a supportive, experienced team, with full training provided. Because our work follows live sporting events and fixtures, this role requires flexibility to work weekends as part of the standard working pattern.
The Role
- Conduct OSINT investigations focused on identifying perpetrators of online abuse and threat as part of the Threat Matrix service.
- Deploy OSINT techniques and tools, under guidance, to help conduct investigations providing clear analysis, evidence, and recommendations.
- Work closely with senior OSINT analysts and investigators as part of a collaborative team.
- Assist with abuse and threat triage to help coordinate appropriate OSINT investigation and action.
- Produce OSINT investigation reports, threat assessments, and trends analysis.
- Build operational relationships internally and, over time, with clients.
- Support briefings to clients and Signify senior management on OSINT investigations.

Your Profile
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a related operational field (e.g. corporate intelligence & investigations, threat management, sport integrity, investigative journalism, etc.)
- Professional experience in OSINT methodologies and in deploying these effectively.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with an eye for spotting patterns and connections in information.
- Good written communication skills and the ability to produce clear, structured reports.
- Comfortable presenting findings and ability to deliver clear and concise briefings.
- Able to handle sensitive information responsibly and maintain confidentiality.
- A proactive, organised self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can meet regular deadlines.
- Experience of working independently, managing your own workload with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work a pattern that includes weekends, in line with live sporting fixtures (ideal working days: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
- Candidates should be able to commute into London 2-3 times a week. Travel to and from the office is at the candidate's own expense.

Additional
- Experience using intelligence or case management databases is desirable.
- Knowledge of data protection regulation and maintaining compliance across OSINT investigations and case management is beneficial but full training will be given.
