Scaling Private Equity Fund

Package: Competitive base salary plus annual discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits

The Opportunity

A newly backed Private Equity firm in London is hiring a Junior PA.

The firm currently stands at 12 people. It is planned to double in size next year, with the objective of scaling even further over the next few years.

This seat is not for managing overflow or filing receipts in a corner.

At the same time, you will work directly alongside the EA to the CEO and Head of Operations. You will not be an isolated assistant. You will be part of the central operational engine running the firm.

Your Current Reality vs This Firm

Right now, you are 12 to 24 months into your career. You are likely working inside a massive corporate machine: a Magic Circle law firm, a Big 4 consultancy, a Tier-1 investment bank, or a global insurer.

You know how to format complex documents. You can manage Outlook diaries with your eyes closed. You know how to book travel and keep expenses straight. Your administrative discipline is already solid.

Here is the problem: you are stuck in a queue.

You submit tickets to internal help desks. You book flights through rigid corporate travel portals. You follow standard operating procedures written a decade ago.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You never see the deal happen. You never meet the people making the decisions.

This fund operates entirely differently. There are no layers. There is no bureaucracy. When a multi-million-pound investment is closing, you are right there watching how it gets done.

What the Role Actually Looks Like

Private Equity moves quickly. The pace is intense, and the standards are exacting.

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Managing high-volume, shifting diaries across multiple time zones.
  • Building complex, multi-leg international travel itineraries: flights, transfers, accommodation, and last-minute changes when meetings move.
  • Coordinating high-stakes board meetings, investor logistics, and confidential pipeline reviews.
  • Preparing documents, presentations, and briefing packs ahead of critical meetings.
  • Acting as a reliable point of contact for external founders, institutional investors, and advisory partners.
  • Solving unexpected problems calmly when schedules collapse under deal pressure.

This is good chaos. It requires someone who enjoys precision, stays calm under pressure, and takes pride in flawless execution.

Direct Mentorship and Career Growth

You will not be thrown in at the deep end without support.

You will work shoulder to shoulder with the EA to the CEO and Head of Operations, an exceptional operator who thoroughly understands this market. You will receive daily coaching, deliberate feedback, and real shadowing on how elite private equity operations function.

Then there is the real reason to take this role: Opportunity.

When a fund grows on this scale, its operational infrastructure must expand accordingly. You will not remain a junior assistant for long if you perform.

As the business scales, your seat grows. The runway is open to stepping up into a Senior EA, an Operational Lead, or a Deal Coordinator. You help build the track you run on.

What We Are Looking For

  • 12 to 24 months of experience as a Junior PA, Team Assistant, or Administrative Assistant within professional services, banking, legal, or management consultancy.
  • Exceptional organizational ability with advanced proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • High standards of written and verbal communication in British English.
  • Natural attention to detail: you notice formatting inconsistencies and scheduling overlaps before anyone else does.
  • Discretion and maturity when handling sensitive financial and investor information.
  • A clear desire for more commercial exposure, broader responsibility, and genuine long-term growth.
