The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Junior Parts Assistant to join our busy technical support team. You will play a crucial role in keeping our mobile engineering workforce equipped and operational.
This is an exceptional entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in supply chain, procurement, or technical administration within a thriving engineering specialist business. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Parts Sourcing & Ordering: Assist in identifying, sourcing, and ordering genuine OEM parts, spares, and equipment components required by our mobile service and repair engineers.
- Supplier Coordination: Liaise daily with manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors to check stock availability, negotiate lead times, and track deliveries.
- Inventory & Stock Control: Help maintain accurate stock levels within our parts holding, conducting regular inventory checks and organising warehouse storage.
- Administrative Support: Process purchase orders, update internal tracking systems, and match delivery notes with invoices in coordination with the accounts and service teams.
- Engineer Support: Act as a helpful point of contact for field engineers needing urgent part identifications, queries, or logistics updates.

What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Previous experience in a admin, customer service, stock control, or trade counter environment is preferred, though a strong willingness to learn is most important.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using computer systems, Microsoft Office (Excel/Word), and quick to learn specialised database or field service software.
- Communication Skills: Clear, professional phone and email manner, with the ability to build good working relationships with engineers and suppliers.
- Organizational Skills: High attention to detail, ability to multitask under pressure, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- The Right Attitude: Eager to develop technical knowledge within the engineering and HVAC/R sector.
