About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Payments Analyst to join our Settlements team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career professional looking to build a career in the FinTech industry.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day execution of operational activities related to Payments. Initially, the focus will be on learning core business processes and ensuring daily activities are completed accurately and efficiently.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in payments and operations in a fast-growing publically listed, multi-jurisdictional organisation. Alongside daily operational responsibilities, you'll work collaboratively with external teams and be encouraged to identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and contribute to operational change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily operational tasks across Payments functions.
- Monitor payment processing to ensure transactions are completed accurately and within agreed timeframes.
- Perform reconciliations and investigate discrepancies, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Ensure operational procedures are followed to ensure both internal and client requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve payment queries and support smooth day-to-day processing.
- Assist with incident management by identifying, investigating, and helping resolve operational issues.
- Contribute ideas for improving operational processes, controls, and efficiencies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
