Junior Performance Marketing Manager

£37,000 - £45,000 + bonus 5 days in office (Westbourne Grove, London)

About us

At Simmer, we're building the future of healthy, high-flavour, feel-good eating. What started as a challenger brand has become one of the UK's fastest-growing consumer businesses. We've already served more than 500,000 customers and ranked #5 in The Sunday Times 100 - but we're only just getting started.

Our mission is simple: make healthy eating effortless. We create chef-made, high-protein meals that remove the friction from eating well, helping people eat better without compromising on taste, nutrition or convenience.

The Role

We're looking for a Junior Performance Marketing Manager to join our Growth team and help drive the next stage of Simmer's growth. This is a hands-on performance role with significant responsibility from day one.

You'll own paid social performance across Meta, TikTok and Reddit, working closely with our Growth Lead to make daily decisions around spend, performance, testing and creative.

We're looking for someone relatively early in their career who has built strong foundations in direct-response marketing and now wants to accelerate their development.

You'll learn how to manage significant budgets, make decisions with imperfect information, turn performance data into commercial insight and understand the relationship between creative and growth.

Over time, we'll also develop you beyond pure media buying into creative strategy, learning how to identify the messages, hooks, formats and ideas that resonate with customers and translate those insights into better creative.

You'll be given meaningful responsibility, direct feedback and plenty of opportunity to learn. In return, we'll expect you to be curious, switched on and hungry to keep getting better.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you'll do

  • Own paid social performance. You'll take day-to-day ownership of Meta, TikTok and Reddit, monitoring performance closely and making high-conviction decisions around budgets, launches, testing and optimisation.
  • Turn data into decisions. You'll work with a high volume of performance data and signals, but your job won't simply be to report what happened. You'll identify what matters, understand why it's happening and turn that into clear actions for the business.
  • Develop our creative strategy. You'll work closely with our Creative team to understand which concepts, messages, hooks and formats are driving performance. You'll turn those insights into creative briefs, help identify new testing opportunities and learn how to scale winning ideas.
  • Build a tight creative-performance feedback loop. You'll help connect what we're seeing in the ad account with what we produce next, making sure performance insight continually improves the quality and effectiveness of our creative.
  • Manage our platform relationships. You'll work directly with platform account managers and external partners across our wider performance channels, making sure we're getting the insight and support we need from them.
  • Improve how we operate. We don't want someone who simply inherits a process and follows it. You'll work alongside the Growth Lead to improve reporting, testing, workflows and decision-making as the function scales.
  • Challenge conventional thinking. We're interested in what works, not what the standard playbook says should work. You'll be encouraged to question assumptions, develop your own point of view and back your recommendations with evidence.

What we're looking for

  • 18mths - 3 yrs of hands-on direct-response experience, with strong working knowledge of Meta.
  • Highly analytical and naturally curious about what sits behind the numbers.
  • Commercially minded - you're interested in business outcomes, not just platform metrics.
  • Comfortable getting into the detail and making granular account decisions every day.
  • An independent thinker who asks good questions rather than automatically accepting conventional best practice.
  • Strong communicator who can explain what you're seeing, what you think it means and what you recommend doing about it.
  • Organised and reliable - if you own something, people can trust that it will get done.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities and information can change quickly.
  • Low ego and highly coachable. You want direct feedback and use it to get better.
  • A self-starter who naturally looks for ways to improve things rather than waiting to be told what to do.
  • Excited by the opportunity to develop beyond media buying into creative strategy.

What you'll get from us

You'll be joining at a stage where there's a huge amount to learn and an equally big opportunity to make an impact. We believe talented people develop fastest when they're given real responsibility, high standards, direct feedback and great people to learn from.

You won't be expected to arrive knowing everything.

What matters more is your trajectory: how quickly you learn, how well you turn feedback into better judgement and how much responsibility you're capable of taking on as you develop.

If you're a couple of years into performance marketing and feel ready for a much steeper learning curve, we'd love to hear from you.
