Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Junior Photographer and Stylist role based in Manchester. This is a high-volume e-commerce studio. The role involves assisting with studio and location photo shoots, including preparing sets, lighting, and equipment, and capturing high-quality images that showcase products and brand identity. The Junior Photographer and Stylist will help style garments and accessories, ensuring outfits are aligned with brand guidelines and current fashion trends. Day-to-day tasks include organising samples, coordinating with design and merchandising teams, maintaining photography assets and digital files, and supporting post-production processes. The role also requires contributing creative ideas, following workflow schedules, and ensuring all visual content is delivered on time and to agreed standards.

Summary

  • On a shoot day you'll be turning around 30–40 looks, styling each one on set yourself, steaming, pinning and fitting garments. So that they photograph cleanly and present well commercially.
  • You'll own the image process from sample prep through to final retouch.
  • You'll be on set roughly 2–3 days a week, shooting e-commerce alongside brand, campaign and social content, then selecting, retouching and delivering for the rest of the week.
  • Seasonal styling direction and the trend framework are set by the Brand Director. You interpret that direction on set.
  • Scheduling, model bookings and studio logistics sit with the Studio Manager, who you'll work alongside day to day.
  • You'll also work closely with our social media manager across Brave Soul, Good For Nothing, Going Somewhere and Ruby ensuring each brand's story is told authentically.

Qualifications

  • A portfolio of fashion and product work, including studio e-commerce.
  • Strong photography skills, including understanding of composition, lighting, and camera operation.
  • On set styling abilities with an eye for fashion trends, color coordination, and garment presentation.
  • Basic knowledge of photo editing and retouching software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
  • Organisational skills for managing samples, props, and digital asset libraries.
  • Video content knowledge is an advantage.
  • Confidence with set ups and attention to detail.
  • Fast paced working environment where priorities shift
  • Ability to work collaboratively with creative, design, and merchandising teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and consistency in visual output, with strong time management skills.
  • Relevant education or training in photography, fashion, visual arts, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous studio, fashion, or e-commerce photography experience (internships or junior roles) is an advantage.
