Exciting Opportunity in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
An exciting opportunity has arisen for applicants interested in developing their career in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy here at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The position is offered as a 7-month, fixed term, full-time contract running until March 31st 2027.
About the Role
Based in the Joint Musculoskeletal Assessment and Pain Service (JMAPs) team delivering care throughout Northumberland. The role may require the applicant to work across different sites. The successful candidate will support delivery of care to patients having been referred from a variety of sources including primary care, ED, and specialist care services such as orthopaedics.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of patients with musculoskeletal complaints.
- Managing post-operative patients who have undergone orthopaedic surgery.
- Undertaking appropriate CPD including clinical supervision, case reflection, in-service training.
- Documenting records in line with Trust policy.

CPD is actively encouraged within our teams and training is supervised by Senior Physiotherapy clinicians supporting staff to achieve their individual learning outcomes supported by a robust appraisal system.
There are no on-call / weekend commitments associated with the current role.
