Junior PMO Analyst

Job Description

Reports to: PMO Lead

Location: London - Heathrow

Contract Type: Permanent

Introduction to role

We are looking for a motivated Junior PMO Analyst to join our PMO team, supporting the delivery of complex projects through strong reporting, governance, and coordination. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their PMO career to develop their skills across performance reporting, finance and project board administration, and stakeholder engagement, while working alongside experienced project professionals.

Role Responsibilities

Your responsibilities and activities will include:

  • Schedule PMS (monthly performance report) pre-review meetings and carry out integrity checks
  • Ensure PMSs are submitted in a timely manner
  • Take meeting minutes and track actions from VI-HAL PMS reviews
  • Ensure follow-up on actions raised from VI-HAL PMS reviews
  • Support the integration and alignment of scope, cost, risk and schedule, and analyse performance data to provide delivery insight and inform delivery decisions
  • Help assure the quality, accuracy and integrity of the monthly reporting output
  • Schedule project board meetings and log meeting minutes
  • Follow up on actions from Project Board meetings
  • Maintain the reporting calendar
  • Support the PMO Lead in implementing effective governance and assurance processes
  • Support project teams in using the correct tools and processes

Role Qualification and Skills

  • Some exposure to or a genuine interest in reporting, planning (Primavera P6 desirable but not essential), cost estimation, risk and change management
  • Good communication skills, with confidence engaging colleagues across a wide range of project and portfolio teams, and with clients
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
  • An interest in or basic familiarity with Power BI
  • Well organised, with the ability to work to deadlines, take initiative and think on your feet
  • Reliable and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Keen to develop your stakeholder management skills and grow within a PMO environment
