Junior Power & Sites Designer
Neos Networks offers alternative working arrangements that give employees some flexibility, including office, home, and hybrid working.
Location: Reading / Havant
Salary: £30,000 to £48,000, depending on experience plus: Performance-related bonus and a comprehensive benefits package supporting your family, finances, and wellbeing.
Working pattern: Permanent, full-time with hybrid working available.

We’re looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team and help design the power and infrastructure solutions that support telecoms and data centre environments.
Whether you already have experience within electrical design or you're looking for an opportunity to develop your technical capability further, this role offers the chance to work alongside experienced designers and Design Authorities on a diverse range of projects.
You’ll gain hands-on experience across LV/ELV AC/DC power systems and critical site infrastructure, contributing to solutions that are safe, compliant, commercially considered, and built for the real world.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll work with experienced engineers and wider project teams to:
- Support the design of LV/ELV AC/DC power and site infrastructure solutions for telecoms and data centre environments.
- Prepare and update technical drawings, layouts, equipment schedules, specifications, calculations, and design packs.
- Support site surveys and desktop reviews, identifying constraints around space, cable routes, equipment locations, access, and existing power arrangements.
- Help develop practical, cost-conscious design options that balance technical requirements with customer needs.
- Apply relevant engineering standards, safety requirements, and design principles, identifying and escalating risks where appropriate.
- Review power equipment, site components, and supplier information against project requirements.
- Collaborate with delivery, operations, solutions, and product teams to take designs from requirement through to successful implementation.
- Maintain clear and accurate design records, assumptions, decisions, and handover information.
- Continue building your technical knowledge in telecoms power systems, resilience, and site infrastructure design.
