The Role:

Our Product Creation team is looking for a Junior Product Developer - 12mths FTC to join Trapstar.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about product and wants to contribute to the continued growth of one of the world's leading streetwear brands.

As Junior Product Developer you will support the end to end development process of seasonal collections working across North Manchester and London offices. Working closely with Product Developers, designers, and Product Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring the successful delivery of departmental and business objectives.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, organised, and commercially aware, with a strong attention to detail and a collaborative approach. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, embrace new challenges, and contribute positively to both your team and the wider business.

Responsibilities:

  • Successfully support the wider development team in the end-to-end development process of your brands, making sure best in class multi-category product is achieved according to the required critical path timelines
  • Supporting and attending fitting/sealing meetings across both Head Office and London Office
  • Support in the process of meeting deadlines, checking of submissions sent from the factories including lab dips, bulk fabric, and print submissions within specified timeframes.
  • Demonstrate good understanding of size specifications, fits, and fabric knowledge
  • Support the team to ensure the manufacture of own brand products are to the highest standard. Join fit meetings, and feedback on samples/fabrics/lab dips approvals/safety standards/testing/QC.
  • Ability to understand technical issues and sending clear, concise, and accurate comments to suppliers; processing samples in a timely manner.
  • Build strong internal relationships (e.g. Design, Supply chain, Sourcing, etc).
  • Assist in the approvals of bulk QC checks from Ekol and warehouse in a timely manner whilst leading the general QC function.
  • Responsible for creating AQL inspection sheets and measurement sheets for QC inspections. Also responsible for reviewing master AQL sheets for factories.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with global suppliers.
  • Responsible for ensuring all photo samples and SMS are arranged when needed and Tracked/logged correctly.
  • Mentor and support assistant members of the Product Development team ensuring a culture of continuous improvement and development through clear direction and feedback and encouraging collaborative ways of working.
  • Send parcels with trims/submissions/samples to factories for the team where needed.

About You:

  • Minimum 2 years’ Product development experience in a fast-moving brand/retail environment
  • Experience of working with Suppliers
  • Excellent organisational & communication skills
  • Passion for Streetwear and Lifestyle products
  • Collaborative team player, with ability to react quickly to changing demands and priorities.
