Junior Product Merchandiser

Location: London / Norfolk / Hybrid (2 days weekly or biweekly in Norfolk head office)
Reporting To: Head of Product Merchandising

We are looking for a Junior Product Merchandiser to join us as we continue this journey and help us shape what the future of modern jewellery can and should be.

Where we need your help

The Junior Product Merchandiser role is an exciting opportunity to help sitting at the intersection of commercial strategy and product development. Joining our Product Merchandising team, this role combines end-to-end commercial reporting with hands-on category ownership across key growth areas.

What you’ll do

Category Ownership & Strategy

  • Category Lead: Serve as the dedicated commercial lead and subject matter expert for specific product categories
  • Commercial Performance: Own category performance vs. LY and plan (WTD, MTD, STD, YTD). Track movers, option targets, margin, and stock cover.
  • Ranging Briefs: Produce data-backed, written category briefs ahead of Range Reviews outlining category requirements and commercial opportunities.
  • Competitor & Market Analysis: Maintain and refresh quarterly competitor benchmarking and market analysis for assigned categories.
  • Pricing & Targets: Drive margin and target cost alignment for new product development across assigned categories.

Commercial Reporting & Range Tracking Infrastructure

  • Reporting Ownership: Build, manage, and distribute core commercial reporting on newness and continuity, with clear recommendations about how to improve future performance
  • Range Tracking: Track weekly range progress, pricing architectures, target weight, and margin alignment against annual briefs.

Functional Collaboration & Support

  • Partner closely with the Merchandiser to support ranging updates across all categories from Initial Check-in to Final Range Lock.
  • Collaborate with all the NPD departments
  • Support on ad hoc analyses (pricing, competitors, images etc)
  • Update systems regularly for all new products

  • Communicates Effectively: Delivers clear, structured, data-backed written category briefs and recommendations across cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborates Proactively: Partners closely with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Design teams.
  • Coaches & Develops Others: Shares commercial insights openly with peers to support cross-functional alignment and range execution.

Drive & Deliver

  • Workflow Management: Independently manages weekly reporting infrastructure, maintains range trackers, and balances ad-hoc analyses alongside core trading commitments.
  • Dives Deep: Maintains an accuracy-first mindset when interpreting retail maths, option counts, margin calculations, stock cover, sell-through.
  • Delivers Results: Takes commercial ownership of specific categories to drive performance against plan and last year across WTD, MTD, STD, and YTD metrics.

Grow & Adapt

  • Challenges & Commits: Evaluates range performance objectively and provides actionable recommendations to improve future product execution.
  • Embraces Change: Responds flexibly to shifting trade trends, market dynamics, and range review requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Master & Apply

  • Functional/Technical Expertise: Demonstrates proven category experience (jewellery/retail/fashion preferred), advanced Excel capability, and strong retail maths expertise.
  • Applies Knowledge with Impact: Translates complex commercial data into clear range briefs, pricing strategies, and target cost alignments.
  • Stays Current: Maintains and regularly refreshes quarterly competitor benchmarking and market analysis to keep the business ahead of industry trends.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to document your authorisation to work in the United Kingdom.

Travel Requirements

Regular travel to our Norfolk office will be required (2 days weekly or bimonthly)
