About Vante Finance

Vante Finance is a UK commercial finance broker based in York. We go to market across 100+ lenders to secure businesses and individuals the best possible funding, from car finance and asset finance to invoice finance and commercial loans. We act for the client, always, to find the right deal at market leading rates, and we offer an industry leading compensation package.

The role

This is a ground up career path from graduate to fully fledged broker. It's a full time, office based position in York (YO30 7BT). You'll start by supporting live deals and, as your knowledge grows, take ownership of your own client relationships. Day to day you will:

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls and emails with clients, understanding what they need and building rapport
  • Gather the right information and documentation to package a deal properly
  • Analyse financial information, accounts, management figures and affordability to understand a client's position
  • Present clear, appropriate finance solutions and explain them in plain terms
  • Manage relationships for the long term, becoming a trusted point of contact clients come back to

Training and development

To begin with, you'll shadow experienced brokers to learn how we work, get to know our products and lenders, and understand what good looks like. As your confidence and knowledge grow, you'll take on more of your own client contact and deals, always with the wider team behind you.

What we're looking for

A recent graduate who's sharp with numbers, a strong communicator, genuinely interested in business and finance, and motivated to build lasting client relationships. No prior finance experience needed, we'll teach you everything.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong numeracy and attention to detail
  • A confident and professional telephone manner
  • A genuine interest in business, finance and commercial environments
  • A motivated, positive and resilient approach to work
  • The ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confidence using standard computer software and a willingness to learn new systems
  • The ambition to work towards targets and develop within a fast paced, sales focused environment
