Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Junior Production Engineer to join our Production Engineering team. This hands-on role will support electronics and mechanical assembly activities, production documentation, quality processes, and continuous improvement initiatives. It's an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their engineering career within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support PCB assembly, soldering, wiring, mechanical assembly and production build activities.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of work instructions, assembly documentation and wiring diagrams.
  • Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and quality control activities.
  • Work with Engineering, Production and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues and improve processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Support prototype builds and provide feedback on manufacturability.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards.

Ideal Candidate

  • Enthusiastic and eager to develop a career in Production Engineering.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Able to follow technical instructions and work effectively within a team.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Professional, positive and willing to learn.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to other ETL locations when required.

Desirables

  • HNC, HND, apprenticeship, degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Previous exposure to a manufacturing, production or engineering environment.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics assembly, soldering, wiring or mechanical fitting.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of quality and continuous improvement principles.

Location

This role requires you to work on-site at our modern manufacturing facility in Hereford - Before applying, please make sure you can commute to Coldwell Radio Station, Madley, Herefordshire, HR2 9NE
