The Vacancy

We are always looking for exceptional individuals to join our multinational group of talented professionals, and we are currently seeking a motivated and energetic Junior Production Operator to join our fast-paced and highly productive Power Products team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy manufacturing environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality work at pace.

In this role, you will play a key part in assembling high-voltage and high-current test equipment used by the electrical supply industry worldwide. Working to daily and weekly production targets, you will need to be a quick learner, adaptable, and able to maintain accuracy and quality while working in a demanding production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble a variety of test equipment according to company standards, using drawings and bills of materials.
  • Ensure daily and weekly production targets are met.
  • Follow safe systems of work, adhering to COSHH guidelines and risk assessments.
  • Conduct cycle counting and stock control to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Participate in improvement activities to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience working on a busy production line or within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to work at pace, stay organised, and remain focused during busy periods.
  • Ability to use a PC and enter data accurately.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Good manual dexterity and ability to follow instructions, drawings, and bills of materials.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to learn new processes quickly and adapt to changing production requirements.
  • Comfortable working to challenging production targets while maintaining quality standards.
