Junior Profit Protection Manager - Milton Keynes, Northampton, Coventry, Leicester, Bedford
Salary: up to £33-35k plus car allowance
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the Profit Protection Team as a field-based operative reporting directly to the Senior Profit Protection Manager.
As a Junior Profit Protection Manager, you will be expected to conduct financial audits and carry out investigations with a goal of maximising profitability within Marston’s pub estate. The remit is to reduce cash discrepancies, highlight fraud/theft, and provide actionable information to stakeholders.
The individual will be expected to use both a reactive and proactive method of approach to the provision of risk-based auditing. This role is field-based and travel will mainly be based in the East Midlands and Buckinghamshire, however, travelling off-patch will also be required to meet the needs of the business.
Key Attributes & Responsibilities:
- Conducting unannounced, requested, and remote operational audits and providing reports accordingly with a full action plan.
- Providing in-depth and bespoke investigation packs to members of operations and ER to assist the investigation process.
- Utilising financial reports from a variety of systems, including EPOS information, to review performance and provide detailed reconciliation of the pubs' financial position.
- Communicating with members of operation following a financial audit or highlighting areas of concern.
- Advising the ER team on cases that are likely to result in disciplinary action.
- Ensuring compliance within the estate to company policies, procedures, and operations manuals.
- Delivering a number of training programs and team inductions to provide loss prevention advice.
- Completing risk-targeted cellar inspections to ensure purchasing compliance in the Partnered estate.

The Ideal Candidate:
- A good level of knowledge of EPoS and revenue management systems used within Marston’s.
- Experience in auditing or knowledge of loss prevention techniques is desired but not essential.
- Effective communication, both written and verbal, with a clear and concise approach.
- Strong investigatory skills and analytical ability.
- Strong organisational skills with a level-headed manner.
- Ability to deal with potentially difficult and challenging situations.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Confidential & professional.
- Strong level of MS Excel understanding.
- Good standard of other Microsoft Office applications including Power BI.
- A full UK driving license.
