We’re looking for a Junior Project Accountant who enjoys solving difficult challenges and wants their work to have real operational impact.
What You’ll Do
As a Junior Project Accountant, you’ll play a vital role in shaping some of our exciting projects where everyone has a voice, and together we face our clients' problems head-on. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and business resources to ensure successful project delivery.
Your work may include:
- Project management: The ability to assist in key aspects of project delivery, including forecasting, change management and risk management.
- Assist the production of deliverables from cross-functional teams, vendors, and business resources.
- Foster open communication across teams to identify cross-team development dependencies and risks early on.
- Work with project managers to manage project finances.
- Problem solving: The ability to identify problems collaboratively and develop actions/solutions, communicating both to key stakeholders and presenting information through reports, dashboards and slides as appropriate.
- Commercial awareness: Assist in providing contract management, supplier management.
- Market experience working within the UK Defence & Security sector is advantageous.

- Strong Excel Skills: Ability to use excel to manage, process and report from large data sets.
- Delivery focus: Providing benefit through iterative delivery.
- Teamwork: Enthusiasm to work cooperatively and supportively with others.
- Communication: Able to listen and question effectively, with concise verbal and written communication skills and effective questioning/listening skills. Able to communicate with confidence all levels.
- Flexibility: Willing to deliver on a broad range of tasks from providing advice on improving client’s delivery to ‘rolling up your sleeves’ to assist the team and customer in delivery.
- Customer focus: Keen to deliver a high level of customer value.
- Achievement: Looks to exceed customer aspirations and work to goals and manages obstacles. Energy, pride and determination in meeting targets and overcoming challenges.
