As a Junior Project Control Scheduler, you will provide project controls support across a multi-discipline portfolio, with a focus on planning, scheduling, reporting, and performance monitoring. Working closely with project teams, you will maintain accurate project schedules and data, provide analysis to support informed decision-making, and contribute to the successful delivery of projects.
Responsibilities
Planning
- Provide primary support for project scheduling activities using Primavera P6.
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules in accordance with project requirements and established project controls standards.
- Ensure schedules are accurate, integrated, and aligned with project objectives.
- Communicate schedule updates, changes, risks, and potential delays clearly and proactively to project stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and identify schedule variances, highlighting emerging issues and recommending corrective actions.
- Support the management and maintenance of project databases, reporting tools, and dashboards.
- Ensure project information is accurate, timely, and readily available to support effective decision-making.
- Produce project performance reports and provide analysis of schedule, risk, and project status.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of project controls processes and reporting mechanisms.
- Support the identification, assessment, and recording of project risks, issues, assumptions, and opportunities.

Portfolio Management
- Provide oversight and assurance of project programmes and portfolio schedules.
- Monitor project performance against agreed baselines and key milestones.
- Support programme-level reporting and performance analysis.
- Assist in identifying interdependencies, conflicts, and resource constraints across projects.
Cost Management
- There is a requirement to work closely with Cost Engineers and commercial teams to understand the impact of schedule changes on project costs.
- Support integrated cost and schedule reporting.
- Help evaluate the implications of delays and scope changes on project budgets and delivery forecasts.

Stakeholder Engagement
- Support Project Managers and project teams by providing reliable project controls information and professional guidance.
- Promote effective communication between planning, cost, risk, and project delivery functions.
Qualifications
- Experience working within a project controls, planning, scheduling, or project management environment.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software.
- Understanding of project lifecycle management and project delivery processes.
- Experience maintaining project schedules, reporting systems, and performance metrics.
- Knowledge of project risk management principles.
- Ability to interpret project information and present findings clearly.
