We are currently recruiting for an experienced Junior Project Engineer to join our engineering team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical drawing skills who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.
The Role
As a Junior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing lift plan drawings across a variety of live projects, ensuring the correct lift plan drawings are produced, allocated and issued to meet customer requirements. Working towards Appointed Person qualification and reporting to the engineering manager. Whilst working closely with customers, the wider engineering team, sales team and operations, you will play an important role in ensuring projects run smoothly from drawing through to execution.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects and ensure the correct drawings are assigned.
- Liaise directly with customers to establish their requirements and resolve any drawing-related queries.
- Produce and issue accurate lift plan drawings to the engineering and sales teams.
- Work closely with the engineering team on drawing-related matters.
- Identify and resolve any issues that could affect project delivery.
- Ensure all drawings meet company quality standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a strong focus on accuracy, quality and attention to detail.
- Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and ensure appropriate standards are maintained.
- Support the Engineering Manager and wider department with additional duties when required.
- Take an active approach to learning, development and continuous improvement.

Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in engineering, draughting or a drawing office environment.
- Strong 2D AutoCAD skills, ideally producing general arrangement, and layout drawings.
- Experience with 3D CAD.
- Experience working within the lifting industry and an understanding of lifting operations would be desirable but not essential.
- Ability to produce accurate.
- Strong attention to detail, with the confidence to identify issues, clashes or ambiguities and raise them early.
- HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical qualification would be desirable, or equivalent practical experience.
