Pixel Systems is beginning a new engagement with a major Manchester-based infrastructure consultancy.
We are adding a Junior Project Manager to our team to help coordinate the development of internal tools that this consultancy needs to manage their large-scale projects. This is a full-time and fully remote position for someone who wants to learn how to manage software delivery in a straightforward, no-nonsense environment. You will be helping us move their complex data out of fragmented spreadsheets and into a centralized, reliable system.
About Pixel Systems
We are a small, remote software agency that builds the tools teams actually use to get their jobs done. We do not build flashy consumer apps or marketing sites that people forget about in a week. Instead, we focus on the practical side of software: admin panels, CRM integrations, and database migrations. Our clients come to us when their current systems are breaking or when they need their different software tools to finally talk to one another.
We believe that working code is much better than a perfect plan that never ships. Our approach is simple. We provide fixed quotes before we start, we perform weekly demos for our clients, and we hand over everything when we are finished. That includes the code, the documentation, and even walkthrough videos for the users. We use reliable technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because we want the software we build to be stable and easy for our clients to maintain long after we are gone.
The Role
In this role, your main focus will be keeping our projects organized and our communication clear. You will be the bridge between our small team of developers and the team at the infrastructure consultancy. A large part of your work will involve tracking the progress of database migrations and ensuring that we are ready for our weekly client demos. You will not be expected to manage people, but you will be expected to manage the details of the work.

Daily tasks include:
- Updating project boards

What you bring
We are looking for someone who is naturally organized and enjoys creating order out of clutter. Because this is a remote role, you need to be a clear writer who can explain technical updates in plain English. You do not need to be a coder, but you should be comfortable using modern digital tools and be genuinely curious about how software systems are built and connected. We value practicality and a focus on finishing tasks over chasing new trends.
This is an entry-level position, so we are more interested in your potential and your attention to detail than a long resume. If you are the kind of person who likes to make lists, check off tasks, and keep things moving forward, you will fit in well here. Being comfortable with the fact that our work is often behind the scenes and not flashy is essential. We solve operational headaches, and that requires a steady, reliable approach.
