Junior Project Manager / Business Analyst – Technology Change
Global Banking Organisation | London | 4 days in office
6-Month Contract | £400 - £500 per day inside IR35
A Global Banking Organisation are looking for a proactive and ambitious Junior Project Manager / Business Analyst to support a portfolio of technology and business change initiatives within a large corporate environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with approximately 3–5 years' experience across Business Analysis, Project Management, Change or Technology Delivery who is looking to take greater ownership of projects and develop their career towards becoming a Project Manager.
You will work closely with the Head of Project Delivery, taking ownership of smaller projects and individual workstreams across a broader change portfolio. Typical initiatives will include core banking technology migrations, enterprise technology change and remediation of technology audit findings.
This is a hands-on role. We are looking for someone who is willing to do whatever is required to move a project forward — whether that means managing the project plan, chasing actions, facilitating stakeholder meetings, gathering requirements, mapping processes or working with technology teams to resolve delivery issues.
The successful candidate will combine strong organisation and project coordination skills with the ability to operate as a Business Analyst when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver smaller technology change projects and individual workstreams within larger programmes.
- Develop, maintain and drive project plans, milestones, dependencies and delivery activities.
- Proactively manage actions, risks, issues and dependencies through RAID logs and project governance.
- Coordinate activities across Technology, Operations, Business and third-party stakeholders.
- Drive projects forward by following up actions, resolving blockers and escalating issues where appropriate.
- Gather, document and validate business and technology requirements through stakeholder meetings and workshops.
- Produce clear business requirements, functional requirements and supporting project documentation.
- Analyse current-state processes and support the design of future-state operating processes.
- Create process maps, workflows, data flows and supporting documentation.
- Support technology migration and implementation activities across enterprise systems.
- Assist with the remediation and closure of technology audit findings and control issues.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
