Junior Project Manager

Job Type: Contract

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Start date: ASAP – Subject to clearance

Duration: 12 Months

Pay rate: £30hr to £35hr Umbrella

Location: Cumbria & North East

Hybrid/Remote Working: Remote with rare travel

Hours of work: 37.5hr hours per week

Role information:

  • The Junior Project Manager will support the successful delivery of projects by assisting Project Managers and the wider project delivery team in coordinating project activities, monitoring progress and maintaining effective project governance.
  • The role will provide structured project management support across planning, cost, schedule, risk, change, reporting, stakeholder management and project administration. The Junior Project Manager will help ensure that project activities are effectively coordinated, actions are followed through and project information is accurate, current and available to support informed decision-making.
  • Working as part of an integrated project team, the Junior Project Manager will liaise with Project Controls, Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, Finance, Operations and other stakeholders to support delivery against agreed scope, programme, budget, quality and safety requirements.

Qualifications/Experience Required

  • Must have recent experience working on EDF projects
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Good organisational and coordination skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret project information and identify emerging issues.
  • Ability to manage actions, deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow established processes and understand logical project management steps.
  • Ability to produce accurate project documentation and reports.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple functions and teams.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under supervision while demonstrating increasing levels of independence.
