The Role

The Junior Project Manager will utilise their knowledge and experience of business change to lead a portfolio of small to medium-sized delivery projects across the Enablement Group. Working under the guidance and mentorship of the Project Manager, they will be responsible for coordinating and delivering key workstream activities, ensuring projects are planned, executed, and completed successfully while meeting agreed objectives, timelines, and quality standards.

Daily Responsibilities

Here are a few examples of what you could be involved with:

• Define and refine project requirements, coordinate resources, and support solution discovery, development, and delivery to achieve agreed project objectives. For larger initiatives, contribute to the development of Scope of Works (SOW) documentation.
• Create, maintain, and manage project plans and schedules across multiple concurrent projects, including both new initiatives and in-flight deliveries.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies, ensuring appropriate mitigation and escalation.
• Monitor project progress against agreed baselines, proactively identifying variances and coordinating corrective actions where required.
• Deliver end-to-end project management activities across Group Enablement to support the successful implementation of business change.
• Provide regular and accurate progress reporting to key stakeholders including the Project Manager, Programme Lead, sponsors, and wider stakeholder community.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and stakeholders to facilitate successful project delivery.
• Produce, maintain, and control project documentation, including RAID logs, project plans, resource plans, communication plans, status reports, and governance artefacts.
• Support effective decision-making by balancing time, cost, scope, quality, and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement through regular lessons learned activities, knowledge sharing, and the adoption of best practice project management techniques.
