Job Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Project Manager to join our Technology Performance & Portfolio function, to help deliver technology outcomes across Kingfisher’s retail platforms and products. Previous experience in Project Management isn’t necessary for this position – you'll receive a structured onboarding and development plan, access to training and professional qualifications, and mentoring from experienced Project and Programme Managers.
As your experience and confidence grow, you’ll have opportunities to lead increasingly complex projects and workstreams that contribute to effective technology delivery, developing your skills in stakeholder management, planning, governance, risk management, and leadership.
Role Location
This role will be based out of our B&Q Head Office just outside Southampton with an expectation of 12 days a month in the office, with travel to other Kingfisher locations in the UK and Europe as required. We are open to full and part-time for this position for the right candidate.

What's the Job?
- Support the planning and delivery of technology projects and initiatives.
- Lead smaller projects and workstreams, with guidance from experienced Project Managers.
- Create and maintain project plans, RAID logs, and other project documentation.
- Coordinate activities, actions, and dependencies across cross-functional teams.
- Monitor progress and provide clear, timely updates to stakeholders.
- Support project governance, delivery standards, budget tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Facilitate meetings, help move actions through to completion, and contribute ideas that improve how teams work and deliver.
What You'll Bring
- Strong organization and planning skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple activities and priorities.
- Clear communication and relationship-building skills for working with a range of people and teams.
- Curiosity, a desire to learn, and a proactive approach to taking ownership.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills, including attention to detail and an understanding of the bigger picture.
- Experience in a technology, retail, customer service, operations, or business environments, or experience supporting projects, programmes, workstreams, events, change activities, or other business initiatives would be beneficial.
