We are looking for a Junior Prompt Engineer to join our small team as we begin a new project for a London-based client.
This client needs to modernize their internal operations by integrating language models into their existing software tools. Your job will be to help us figure out how to get consistent, reliable data out of these models so the client can move away from manual data entry. This is a practical role focused on utility and accuracy rather than building flashy experiments.

Instead, we focus on the practical stuff: admin panels, CRM integrations, and the database migrations that people usually try to avoid. Our clients come to us when they need to replace a sprawling spreadsheet with a real database or get their different software tools to finally talk to one another.

We provide fixed quotes before we start, we do weekly demos, and we hand over everything when we are finished. The Role
In this role, you will be the bridge between our software and the language models we use to process information. Our London-based client has a lot of unstructured data that needs to be cleaned up and moved into their main database. You will be responsible for testing and refining the prompts that make this possible. This is a fully remote position where you will work closely with our senior developers to ensure the outputs from these models are predictable and useful.

- Testing different versions of prompts to see which ones provide the most accurate data for our client projects.
- Collaborating with developers to integrate these prompts into our Node and React applications.
- Documenting your findings so that our team knows exactly how a specific prompt will behave in different scenarios.
- Cleaning and formatting raw data to prepare it for processing by language models.
- Monitoring model outputs to identify where they fail or provide inconsistent information.
- Assisting with basic data entry and migration tasks when we are setting up new systems for clients.
- Participating in weekly remote demos to show our progress to the client.
What You Bring
We are looking for someone who is curious and enjoys solving puzzles. You do not need a long history of professional engineering experience, but you do need to be a clear communicator who can write instructions that are easy for both humans and machines to understand. Because we are a fully remote team, being organized and reliable is essential.
- A strong grasp of the English language and the ability to write very specific, clear instructions.
- Basic familiarity with how tools like GPT, Claude, or other large language models work.
- An interest in how data is structured and moved between different software systems.
- The ability to work independently and stay focused on a task without constant supervision.
- A willingness to learn the technical side of how we connect to APIs and databases.
- Comfort with repetitive testing to ensure we get the best possible results for the client.
- A professional attitude and the ability to explain your work during team video calls.

Helpful Background
While this is an entry-level position, there are a few things that might help you get up to speed faster. We use a specific set of tools at Pixel Systems, and any familiarity with them is a plus. This is a paid, full-time role, and the salary is competitive and attractive for someone starting their career in the tech industry.
- Experience using GitHub to store or share simple projects.
- A basic understanding of HTML or how websites are structured.
- Any experience with Python or JavaScript, even if it is just from personal tinkering or school projects.
