Key details Location: Glasgow/ Central Belt of Scotland (may require travel further afield)
Department: Photography/Marketing
Reports to: Altivo Studio Manager
Hours of work: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:30

About the role
As leading property experts, Rettie are proud to announce the launch of a subsidiary company specialising in photography and videography, Altivo Media.
Altivo Media creates high-quality visual content designed to showcase our clients' properties in their best light. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Junior Property Photographer to join our talented team.

As a Junior Property Photographer, you will work alongside our experienced photography team to help produce high-quality marketing materials for a diverse range of residential properties across Scotland. The role will provide comprehensive training in property photography, videography, floor plan production, drone operation, and post-production editing. You will gradually develop the skills required to independently manage property appointments and produce engaging visual content that supports successful property sales and lettings. Each day will involve travelling to properties, meeting clients face-to-face, assisting with photography and video shoots, gathering property information, and supporting the creation of marketing materials for websites, property portals, brochures, and social media platforms.

About you
The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for photography and visual storytelling, together with the enthusiasm and willingness to learn new skills. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has recently completed a photography-related qualification and is looking to develop a career in property photography, videography, and digital content creation. Through hands-on experience and mentorship from our experienced photographers, you will gain specialist skills and industry-recognised training to support your professional development.

A photography qualification is essential, and you'll possess a good understanding of photographic principles, composition, lighting, and editing software. Most importantly, you'll be motivated to learn from experienced professionals and develop your technical skills through training and practical experience. In return, Altivo Media will invest in your development, providing training and support in:

  • Professional property photography
  • Video production and editing
  • Drone operation and obtaining your CAA Drone Licence
  • Floor plan production and RICS measurement standards
  • Client relationship management
  • Property marketing and digital content creation

Key responsibilities
The successful candidate will have responsibility for the following:

  • Assisting with photographing property interiors and exteriors for printed and online marketing materials.
  • Supporting the creation of property videos, walkthrough tours, and drone footage.
  • Preparing and styling properties to ensure they are presented to the highest standard.
  • Assisting with image and video editing to meet company quality and branding standards.
  • Gathering and collating property information in preparation for marketing.
  • Learning to produce accurate floor plans in line with industry standards.
  • Completing client paperwork and administrative tasks where required.
  • Organising, editing, and maintaining photographic and video assets.
  • Uploading and managing digital content across relevant platforms.
  • Working closely with colleagues to continually develop photography and videography skills.

Key requirements
Essential

  • Full driving licence and access to own car.
  • Photography qualification (College, HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent)
  • Understanding of photography principles, lighting and composition
  • Proficient use of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Fully IT literate & proficient in the use of IT systems including MS Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Full, clean driving licence.
