Application Closing Date: 7th August 2026

About the Role:

Do you have a sharp eye for detail, a genuine love of games, and a desire to start your career making sure millions of players get the best possible experience?

As a Junior QA Analyst on the Old School RuneScape team, you’ll be embedded in a multi-discipline game development team, testing content and giving qualitative feedback on game mechanics, design, and balancing. Your work will have a direct impact on the quality of every update that reaches our players.

This is a role for someone early in their QA career who’s eager to learn, build their craft, and grow within a team that takes quality seriously. You’ll be supported as you develop your testing skills, with plenty of opportunity to take on more as your confidence grows.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Learn and apply test processes and techniques, creating clear, concise test cases that cover a range of game functionality.
  • Execute test cases and testing activities including playtests, reporting bugs, feedback, and risks in line with team standards.
  • Investigate player-reported bugs, analysing findings and feeding them back to the team.
  • Analyse game content and provide objective, constructive feedback on mechanics, design, and balancing.
  • Identify and escalate risks that could impact game quality or player satisfaction.
  • Work as part of a Scrum team, learning the responsibilities of a tester within ceremonies and contributing to the team’s delivery goals.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A solid understanding of video game structure and components such as UI, inventory systems, multiplayer, balancing, narrative, and so on.
  • Basic knowledge of the video game development process, including the role QA plays within a development team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to report findings clearly and work collaboratively in a team.
  • Familiarity with PC operating systems and hardware, and a basic understanding of mobile platforms.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies, QA techniques, and games development.
  • In-depth knowledge of Old School RuneScape is a strong advantage.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
