Junior QA / Test Engineer
Leeds (Hybrid)
Starting out in tech and want to build a career in testing? This one's for you. We're working with a growing organisation looking for a Junior QA Engineer, 0-2 years experience, to join their team and grow into the role with proper support behind them.
You don't need years of experience or a long list of tools under your belt. What matters is a genuinely curious mindset, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
What you'll be doing:
- Learning automation and manual testing fundamentals and how to write clear, effective test cases
- Getting hands-on exposure to automated testing tools and frameworks
- Working closely with developers to understand features before they ship
- Raising and tracking bugs, and helping the team improve quality as you go
- Building real skills in a supportive environment, not just ticking boxes

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
