About the Role
Robert Bird Group is seeking a friendly, organised, and proactive Junior Receptionist & Catering Assistant to join our London office. This varied role combines front-of-house reception duties with catering and workplace support responsibilities, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience for visitors, clients, and employees while helping to maintain a well-run and efficient office environment.
Duties
- Welcome and assist visitors, clients, and employees in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer and direct telephone calls, take messages, and respond to enquiries efficiently.
- Manage general email correspondence and provide administrative support as required.
- Coordinate meeting room bookings and prepare rooms for meetings and events.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and couriers.
- Maintain a tidy, welcoming, and professional reception area.
- Assist with the preparation and serving of refreshments for meetings and events.
- Set up and clear down meeting rooms, catering areas, and office events.
- Ensure kitchen, catering, and breakout spaces remain clean, organised, and fully stocked.
- Monitor and replenish refreshments, catering supplies, and office consumables.
- Support the delivery of internal events and office functions.
- Comply with food hygiene, health and safety, and workplace standards at all times.
What We Are Looking For
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A professional, approachable, and positive attitude.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- The ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- A proactive and reliable team player with a willingness to support colleagues.
- Previous experience in reception, hospitality, catering, customer service, or office administration is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices is advantageous; training can be provided.
