London | 3 days in the office | Sustain Talent Consulting
At Sustain Talent Consulting, we work with some of the most interesting technology businesses and organisations across the UK and Europe. Our world is software engineering, Data, Cloud, AI and digital transformation. We help leading organisations build the technology teams they need to deliver ambitious projects and transformation.
We're looking for a Junior Recruitment Consultant who has already had some exposure to recruitment and wants to build their confidence, deepen their market knowledge and take the next step in a specialist consultancy environment.
This is a great opportunity if you understand the basics of recruitment and want more ownership, better training and the chance to grow into a full consultant role.
What will you actually do?
You'll build on your existing recruitment experience while developing the skills needed to manage candidates, clients and opportunities with increasing independence. You may have come from a delivery, resourcing or 360 recruitment background. We’ll help you sharpen your candidate engagement, strengthen your business development approach and build the confidence to become a trusted specialist consultant.
You'll spend your time:
- Building relationships with candidates and understanding their experience, motivations and career goals.
- Learning about the specialist markets you're recruiting into, including technology and data where relevant.
- Supporting and developing business development activity, including identifying new client opportunities and building commercial relationships.
- Speaking with hiring managers and understanding the problems they need to solve.
- Searching for, approaching and engaging high-quality candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals and your own growing network.
- Interviewing and assessing candidates.
- Advising clients on talent availability, market conditions and recruitment strategy.
- Negotiating offers and managing the recruitment process from start to finish.
- Building your own network and reputation within the technology market.
- Using modern recruitment tools, market insight and data to work smarter and build stronger shortlists.
- Developing your commercial understanding and learning how successful technology businesses operate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
