Junior Recruitment Consultant - UK Permanent Desk

About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Junior Recruitment Consultant to join our growing UK Permanent Recruitment team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a successful career in recruitment within a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
You'll be responsible for sourcing and placing high-quality candidates, developing relationships with clients, and generating new business opportunities. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, making this an ideal role for someone with strong customer service or sales experience who is eager to develop a career in recruitment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and develop relationships with new and existing clients across the UK.
- Generate new business through proactive business development and outbound sales activity.
- Source candidates using job boards, social media, networking, referrals, and advertising platforms.
- Screen, interview, and assess candidates to understand their skills, experience, and career aspirations.
- Match suitable candidates to client vacancies.
- Manage the recruitment process from initial vacancy through to placement.
- Maintain regular contact with both clients and candidates to ensure a high level of service.
- Negotiate fees, salaries, and placement terms.
- Prepare and advertise vacancies across appropriate recruitment channels.
- Conduct candidate reference checks and maintain accurate CRM/database records.
- Identify additional business opportunities from both client and candidate interactions.
- Work towards individual sales and gross profit (GP) targets.
- Keep up to date with current employment legislation and recruitment best practice.
- Attend client meetings, networking events, and presentations where required.

Requirements
Essential
- Minimum 12 months' experience in an office-based customer service, sales, or recruitment environment.
- Experience working in a busy office or call centre environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confident making outbound business development and candidate calls.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
- Ability to work to targets and deadlines.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Professional, resilient, and driven attitude.
- Willingness to travel where required.

Desirable
- Previous recruitment or telesales experience.
- Business-to-business sales experience.
- Degree educated.
- Full UK driving licence.
