Junior Risk Specialist (With Surveyor Progression Pathway)

Established Risk Management Consultancy | Fully Remote (UK) | £26,000 – £35,000 + Performance Bonus

About the Company

Our client is an established, highly dynamic risk management and surveying consultancy dedicated to keeping commercial properties safe, compliant, and well-managed across the UK insurance marketplace.

Operating in a fast-paced, high-growth scale-up environment, they champion absolute autonomy, radical ownership, and high personal drive. They move dynamically without layers of bureaucracy or corporate hand-holding, prioritizing energy, proactive problem-solving, and professional excellence. They firmly believe that technical surveying skills can be taught, but personality, energy, and hustle cannot. If you are an enthusiastic, motivated professional looking to step into commercial insurance and risk management with a fully supported launchpad, you will find a massive opportunity here.

About the Role

Reporting directly into senior risk engineering leadership, this is a hands-on, dual-focus role combining virtual desktop risk assessments with leading post-survey aftercare operations across brokers, policyholders, and underwriters.

This is an operational execution and relationship management role, not a generic processing position. Your primary mission is to conduct thorough virtual risk surveys, produce clear risk improvement recommendations, and manage the end-to-end aftercare journey to ensure risk standards are fully verified. This role includes direct senior mentorship and fully funded industry qualifications (NEBOSH) with a clear progression pathway to step up into a full-time Commercial Risk Surveyor field role.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
