Role Description
The Junior Sales Executive role at Volta Ventures is a full-time, on-site position based in Birmingham. This role involves supporting the sales team in identifying and qualifying leads, conducting outreach via phone, email, and social channels, and scheduling meetings or demos with prospective clients. The Junior Sales Executive will assist in preparing sales presentations and proposals, maintaining accurate records in the CRM system, and following up consistently to move opportunities through the pipeline. The role also includes collaborating with marketing to align messaging, gathering feedback from prospects, and contributing to the continuous improvement of sales processes. This position offers exposure to data-driven sales strategies and opportunities to learn from senior sales professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and handle client-facing conversations effectively.
- Basic understanding of sales processes, lead generation, and CRM tools, or a strong willingness to learn these quickly.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales and marketing data to support decision-making.
- Organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple leads, follow-ups, and tasks simultaneously.
- Comfort working in a target-driven environment and motivation to meet and exceed performance goals.
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales and marketing teams and contribute to a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
- Proficiency with standard office software and communication tools; familiarity with digital marketing or outreach platforms is a plus.
- Relevant education in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in a sales support or customer-facing role.
